Whale season 2025 in Panama begins on July 15th and online ticket sales are now open.
Every year we welcome several families of humpback whales to the warm tropical waters of Panama. And every year we’re front and center.
Starting on July 15th, an entire society comes to life. Fishermen keep their radios close, observers climb to island tops, drones are launched—all to be the first to spot the return of our beloved families.
Every weekend we go out to greet them and try to identify them. They come to raise their young in the nutrient-rich waters of our archipelago, so, seeing new calves or recognizing one from the previous year is always an emotional moment.
It’s not just a tour—it’s a front-row seat to a timeless ritual.
As the season unfolds, you’ll hear the deep, resonant songs echoing beneath the waves, feel the auditive shockwave from a breaching thirty ton whale, and witness moments so powerful they leave everyone on board speechless. Whether it’s your first time or your fifth, it never gets old.
Our captains and crew are trained observers and conservation advocates, passionate about sharing these encounters while protecting their natural rhythm. From identifying fluke patterns to recording behavioral data, each outing contributes to the growing story of Panama’s marine life.
So pack your sense of wonder and join us for the season.
Nature doesn’t send invitations—but this is as close as it gets.
